WeedRazers and Rakers are tried and tested by Ackenberry staff who were amazed that it only took 20 minutes to cut and remove weeds from 30 m of shoreline in Alberta lakes. We removed 90% of those weeds with the WeedRaker at the same time!

With unique "V" shaped weed cutter blades, the WeedRazer is designed to be the most efficient and effective hand-held tool on the market. It cuts through almost any type of aquatic vegetation such as milfoil, lily pads, pond weed and even cattails.

The WeedRazer® clears a 4 foot wide path with each throw. Weighing in at just 8 pounds it is light enough to toss 30 feet or more yet heavy enough to sink to the bottom.​

Weed Rakers
Ackenberry Trout Farm stocks WeedRakers to perfectly compliment the WeedRazer. ​ Once you cut or shear the lake or pond weed, we recommend that you remove the cut vegetation from the water. Decaying vegetation will provide nutrients that can stimulate new vegetation.
​
The WeedRaker is the longest, widest and deepest rake on the market. It will dig and pull out lake and pond weed stems and roots to slow or eliminate their re-growth. This RAKE is great for removing organic matter at the bottom of your lake!

The WeedRaker is light weight (less than 7 lbs) so it is easy to toss up to 55 feet away and tow back to shore.

If you already have duckweed, ideally, it should be removed from the pond. WeedRakers are also a great tool to make this tedious task easy! They can be modified with a pool noodle as seen in this video, making duckweed removal simple! If possible, wait until a windy day as all duckweed will get pushed to one edge of the pond, making removal even easier.
